Zooomr ... huh?

Thanks to Flickr's handling of the whole censorship issue (or lack thereof), many people are now asking for alternatives and quite often Zooomr get mentioned. Could anyone please explain to me, what's so great about it, because I don't get it. Yesterday I created a new account there just to see what this is all about.

Well, it is a beta! Oh wait, the rest of web2.0 is also in beta, and those sites do work... ;)

Perhaps its a setup from Yahoo! They turn down their own photo suite and bribe all others just to be unusable. That's Yahoo's evil Flickr master plan.

And what are we going to do tomorrow, Brain?

Hey Zerok, Zooomr very much is still in beta. We just did a major relaunch and are still working at getting some of this functionality built into the site. If you'd like for me to reset your password feel free to shoot me an email at tom(at)thomashawk.com or ping me at thomashawk22 on yahoo or thomashawkaim on aim.

Happy also to answer any of your learn more questions personally.

We will get this core functionality up and built into the site soon. We are just a two man team right now. Myself (and I can't code) and our CTO sole developer Kristopher Tate. We are working hard day and night to get the site better and better. It will improve dramatically in the weeks ahead.

And thanks man for checking us out.

Tom
