Here you can find notes about things I discover or learn but are not (yet) worth a full-length post.

GitLab.com is mostly down right now and on #3875 people post crap like “We are trying to do a prod deployment now…” … not helping!
In general, I wouldn’t want to be their OPS team during the last month with their shared runners acting up and now this.

A comparison of 17 “waterproof” inks from various companies. I think I’m going to look for a bottle of Platinum Carbon Black 😉

Like of Peak Design congratulates Amazon for copying its signature sling bag so well (www.theverge.com…)
Peak Design has released a humorous video highlighting the main differences between their Everyday Sling bag and Amazon’s. As someone who has that product by Peak Design, even looking at the straps of the clone just hurts. It’s like it had been designed to look in the front like Peak Design’s bag but everything that makes the Everyday Sling a great bag has been left out.
Like of Chaos around data privacy around the proposed inoculation document in Austria (www.derstandard.at…)
A bit of context first: Austria is currently pushing for a document with which citizens can proof (e.g. to restaurants etc.) that they have been inoculated. The proposed system for that is highly complicated, though, and includes mirroring the personal health data of citizens into multiple systems owned by various departments of the government.
To put it mildly, this is a mess and most likely not compliant with the GDPR. Now the Elga Gbmh. (who handle the electronic health record system in Austria) and various NGOs have compiled a list of complaints regarding the proposed system.
