During a recent visit to Vienna I stayed in Superbude Wien Prater, a very hip, modern hotel directly next to the famous amusement park. With its roots in Hamburg it’s no surprise that this hotel targets a younger customer group with a focus on music and entertainment.
And for that, the location is just perfect but definitely also comes at a price if you’re not there for the amusement rights and late-night partying. People will come and go all through the night and the walls are not thick enough to prevent you from hearing every single group celebrating their survival of the park’s rides. Compared to them, the noise from outside is fine π
The room we had was quite spacious with the shower and sink separated from the bed by a half-high wall. It was substantially larger than the room we usually get the Schani Hotel at the main station. A seat and table were folded away on the wall which made the main area feel less welcoming. Having a larger bathing area was definitely a plus, though.
Unfortunately, the bed wasn’t on that level. Every tiny movement caused a loud creaking noise. Combined with the noise from outside the room and outside the hose this was really bad.
Due to that, I probably won’t return to the hotel but definitely to the rooftop bar which offers an amazing view over the whole Prater and large parts of Vienna :D
