Yesterday evening I had some free hours so I decided to play around with the style of zs.com again. First of all I wanted to get rid of the zs-navigation in the right sidebar and to make a common header and footer for all the sites on zs.com. I've now also added rounded corners to site. I hope you like it :-)

Don't want IE or Konqueror/Safari users?
... well, then I have something for you ;-) You don't even have to write invalid HTML .... wait ... better not g Anyway. Today this weblog could not be accessed with IE or Konqueror because of a little typo on my side. The site always sent text-html as content type. I've never made this typo before so I actually didn't searched for it. Also the site still worked with Opera and Firefox which seem to ignore invalid mime-types and fall back to text/html. KHTML and IE browsers seem to take the content type really serious and offer you a download dialog or an useless error message if they find something like text-html.

Wordpress, Markdown and RSS
Ok, the RSS, RSS2 and Atom feeds should now work again. Previously (to be precise right after I enabled then markdown plugin) they simply included unformated content which looked ugly at best and was lacking some semantic at worst ;-)
Thanks to this topic in the WordPress support forum I could fix this small problem and I will apply these fixes on gamerslog.com tomorrow (after getting some sleep).
To the posters involved in solving this problem: Thank you very much :-) You saved me from reading the RSS specification :-)

My little right click rant ;-)
Or better "my little right-click-block rant". Everyday I come across sites where right clicking is disabled. Someone must have told these sites' owners that this will protect their content or something... yeah, perhaps from people who are only every two years or so.

New hardware for me on the horizon
As my current PC at home is a little slow for the thing I use it for (compiling, folding@home - in general: working) I plan to spend some money on new hardware. I currently have following stuff in it:
