Typo3 - Enterprise Content Management
This "currently reading" article is in german because the book is as far as I know only available in german. So writing it in english is probably pointless ;-)
Warum dieses Buch?
Als ich Typo3 vor einiger Zeit entdeckt habe, wollte ich es gleich ausprobieren, da ich ohnehin gerade auf der Suche nach einem flexiblen CMS war. Leider wurde ich von der Komplexität und eben der Vielfältigkeit geradezu erschlagen, sodass ich Typo3 wieder auf die Seite gelegt habe. Seitdem dieses Buch nun erhältlich ist, habe ich damit geliebäugelt, da ich mir davon einen guten und doch weitläufigen Einstieg in Typo3 erhoffe :-) Read more about "Typo3 - Enterprise Content Management" ... -
Ubuntu category
I've now also added an Ubuntu category simply because I'm currently very interested in this new Debian/Gnome based distributions and have also installed it on my laptop. I'll perhaps write quite a few posts about it, so this will should keep my weblog tidy :-)

I've just noticed that the first MM patchset for the Linux 2.6.10 has been released 3 days ago :-( ... Not now... I think I should first get some sleep before compiling them ;-)

Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 also for Linux?
Well, it seems like Adobe will also release a Linux version of their Acrobat Reader 7 software. Seems like there was a quite restircted beta program running shortly but has been stopped now. Golem even wrote something about an NDA section in the beta-tester agreement... ey g To be honest: I'm not really interested in testing something if I'm not even allowed to talk about it with anyone later on (after telling the company what I think about their product) ;-)

2.6.10 now with keyboard *g*
Well, more or less. During the release candidate phase of the Linux kernel 2.6.10 I had some problems with the keyboard drivers (probably caused by some power management drivers) resulting in a box without working keyboard after booting one of these kernels. Seems like all problems have been fixed in the final version :-)

Today I played around with some modules and libraries and Python, so I want to use this as a starting point to fill the "Development" category here a little bit :-)
In the first ... let's call it a "Mini-Intro" I want to give a small introduction into Py-CDDB and how you can use it to get to know the CDDA in your CD-ROM driver better.
