Notes

Here you can find notes about things I discover or learn but are not (yet) worth a full-length post.

Switching back to continuous playback in Overcast was definitely the right choice. I’ve now also switched my primary “All podcasts” playlist to group episodes by show so that I can binge-listen to them and therefore avoid unnecessary context switches due to different hosts etc.

Replying to Alternatives to Amazon (lazybear.io…)

I’m quite deep in the Apple ecosystem and have been for nearly 15 years now 🙂 I just recently started to code some smaller things like Swift, though, and so WWDC finally got interesting for me 😅

As far Amazon: I can get most books also via Morawa.at or Thalia but if an ebook is only available DRM’d then I pick the Kindle-version simply because Adobe DRM is just so much worse than anything else I’ve had to deal with. In this particular case, though, I went with Amazon because my local bookstore told me that they weren’t even sure that they’d get it. I try to avoid Amazon but sometimes it’s just too convenient 😣

Video games I at least try to get on gameware.at first.

The first is that Apple will now allow developers to appeal a specific violation of an App Store guideline, and that there will also be a separate process for challenging the guideline itself. Additionally, Apple says it will no longer delay app updates intended to fix bugs and other core functions over App Store disputes.

Someone please check the temperature in hell 😳
